Greenbrier Episcopal School is an independent school located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. GES was founded in 1999 by parents, educators and community members. GES holds membership in the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES) and the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). Subjects include Spanish, Music, Art, Scienchie, Math from Kindergarten level to Algebra 1, Physical Education, and World Cultures are offered. Headmaster is Andrew K. Smith, and the Chaplain and Father Keith Butler for St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Currently, GES is located in the White Sulphur Springs Civic Center, but there are plans to eventually build a campus for the school. GES holds two fundraising events annually. One is the GES Race For a Taste which is a 6k race held before Taste of our Town, and another is Bike a Mile, or 20 which is a walk/ride along the Greenbrier River Trail.
